Am I required by law to tell my boss if I’m dating my coworker? We’re both assistant managers so our relationship is not breaking any rules in that regard because we are equally ranked.

There is no law that would require you to disclose this. However, your company could have a policy requiring you to disclose, even though you do not have a reporting relationship with each other, because it could still create a conflict of interest, lead to gossip, or lead to a sexual harassment complaint. Check your company’s policy, and if it doesn’t require you to report it, then you’re safe. Of course, you should avoid all inappropriate conduct in the workplace, especially if you break up.
